Although this humorous rhyme isn't true
it's genesis is based on some idiosynchracy I seem to have
where many of my shoes develop a squeak.

Squeak

i've had this problem awhile
it started with a new pair of sneakers
which after six months or so
turned out a pair of squeakers
and it was no little squeak
but a terrible clamor.
i couldn't creep up
upon a man using a jackhammer
not yet worn enough
to discard 'em
yet too worn to take back
they sat in my closet bottom
little did I guess
that the squeak was infectious
soon all my other shoes squeaked
in a manner most vexatious
till on a visit to a podiatrist
the original reason is moot
he examined me and exclaimed
will I'm damned
you've a squeak in your foot.
